- 1Open the Uber app, go to Account > Wallet or Promotions, and enter the referral code or accept the invite link before your first ride.
- 2Request and complete a qualifying first trip as a brand-new Uber rider in Australia.
- 3Uber deposits ride credit to the referrer once the trip finishes and fraud checks pass.
What you get
Campaign-specific Uber rider invites may offer new users a percentage discount on their first trips (commonly 50% off the first two rides capped at about A$10 per trip). The referrer typically receives A$5 to A$15 in ride credit after the invited rider completes a first trip. Amounts vary by city, account and active promotion. Codes must be added under Wallet or Promotions before requesting the first ride.

Eligibility and gotchas
- Existing Uber or Uber Eats accounts sharing phone, email or device IDs usually cannot use rider referral codes.
- Referral credits cannot be combined with other promo codes on the same trip.
- Cross-border referral links may fail because rewards are currency-specific.
- Offer amounts change by campaign; check the in-app invite screen before sharing.
