What you need to do
- 1As a current Origin customer, copy the home or business referral link from My Account or the Origin app that matches your friend's signup type.
- 2Your friend checks address availability, then completes Origin online signup through that link with referral details intact.
- 3After they pay their first Origin bill, Origin posts the matching credit to both accounts.
What you get
A new or moving electricity or natural gas customer who signs with Origin online through a valid referral link and satisfies eligibility receives A$50 bill credit including GST on a home account, or A$200 including GST on a business account, after paying the first Origin bill. Credits offset energy charges and are not cash.

Eligibility and gotchas
- Embedded-network addresses and plan changes for existing Origin customers are excluded.
- Invitees cannot have taken another Origin bill credit in the prior twelve months except a welcome credit bundled with that referral signup.
- One referral credit applies per supply address; dual fuel at one address does not double the credit.
- Credits cannot be redeemed for cash and are applied to electricity or gas charges as described in Origin's terms.
