What you get and what you need to do
What you need to do
- 1Existing Powershop electricity members open Switch Your Mates inside the app and send a personal URL.
- 2The invitee follows that URL before starting online electricity signup on a qualifying plan.
- 3When Powershop starts supplying the property, each party receives A$75 electricity credit under Switch Your Mates rules.
What you get
Households in VIC, NSW, SA, or SEQ taking eligible electricity online via Switch Your Mates before 31 December 2026 may get A$75 including GST off the opening electricity invoice when they had no Powershop electricity or gas account in the previous twelve months.

Eligibility and gotchas
- Join online through the tracked URL by 31 December 2026; a copied code alone does not satisfy the link requirement.
- Gas-only orders or standalone signup promos may be excluded; compare Switch Your Mates with plan-specific deals.
- Credits offset electricity usage only, are not cashable, and unused value can lapse if the contract ends early.
- Inviters who cancel electricity supply before their credit posts may lose the reward.
Double-check expiry, eligibility and exclusions on the provider's site before you sign up.
