Energy referral codes
Bill-credit and friend-referral programs from electricity and gas retailers serving Australian homes. A switch through someone's link may knock money off your first bills, but headline credits rarely tell the full story on usage rates. Compare offers here against the plan you are on now.

Choosing a energy invite
- Check fuel type (electricity, gas or both), whether your postcode is in network, and how your meter is classified.
- Put usage charges, daily supply fees, solar feed-in, conditional discounts and contract length beside the one-off referral amount.
- Ask when the credit hits the bill, whether service must stay connected for a set period and if the deal is locked to a specific plan.
Can an energy referral credit hide an expensive plan?
Absolutely. A single bill referral payment may not offset higher usage rates, supply charges, weak feed-in tariffs or strict discount conditions. Model your own usage before switching for the invite alone.
Does every household qualify for the same energy invite?
No. Availability depends on network region, fuel type, meter setup and whether the retailer is accepting new connections at your address when you apply.
When do retailers usually apply referral bill credits?
Timing varies. Credits often appear after connection, transfer completion or the first issued bill, but each brand sets its own milestones in the current program terms.
